We tolerate and expand cemeteries on outskirts of our cities where bodies are placed in rows at a rather low density, much as the houses in suburbia. Although land is at a high premium, this limited resource is obtained where land prices are low and wastefully spent to merely achieve a single objective namely to store the dead.
