Making a DIY beach sunshade is easy, and you may already have all the materials. All you need are some long tent poles (20-25ft), fabric (a beach blanket or bed sheet works if you don't want to sew anything), fabric tape, some strong string, lower poles from a beach umbrella (preferably one that was destined for the trash) and a waterproof dry bag. DIY BEACH SUNBRELLA! Needed: Cloth, PVC Pipe & Fittings, Grommets, Rope, & Tent Stakes. Hem edges of your cloth to the size you need. Figure out how long the top and poles should be. (You want to be able to stick the poles about 4"-6" in the ground.) Can permanently glue the top pipe & corners (elbows) together, but not the posts-that way it's easy to disassemble & store. Cut holes in corners of cloth & use grommets. Tie rope to it and then loop over tent stake.
