1. Repotted Too Soon

LECA roots quickly escape the inner pot in search of moisture in the water reservoir. This is normal and will not hurt the roots! Resist the urge to repot until necessary to avoid shocking your plant.

2. Too Much Water

Roots need oxygen, too! Avoid root rot by making sure your water reservoir is never higher than 1/3 the height of the pot. Water level gauges are super useful!
