I chose to cast people over the age of 60 for a fashion shoot because they are more interesting to me than young, skinny models. I was inspired by the character I saw when taking personal photos of my Grandmother, and I thought why not transform this into an fashion editorial, so I pitched the idea to Vice Magazine. From the viewpoint of cultural anthropology, stereotypes not only shape social interactions but also influence societal structures and cultural norms.
