In-house Development

From an AI companion to golf gear, wildlife damage prevention, underwater robotics and tactical AR. We build both the hardware and the software in house, making things that change how people live and how work gets done.

AI companion

Katally

An AI that is remembered as part of someone's life, trusted, and emotionally present — built not to replace people but to stay with them. We design both the device, with its cameras and sensors, and the software behind the conversation.

Golf gear development

HAPT Golf

Sensors read the swing; vibration answers it. In a domain where a few milliseconds decides the experience, we develop everything from mechanical design through firmware to the app. The grip holds a registered design right.

Japan's #1 Alexa skill

Shiritori

Over 400 million utterances and 1.5 million registered users. A Japanese language learning skill that people keep coming back to, and where our understanding of voice interface design and running something at scale has accumulated.

Education and video

HCEHAPT Creative Entertainment

We make videos about what is interesting in engineering and building things. By turning the process itself into content, we give the next generation a way in.

Wildlife damage prevention

Terraguard AI

A system that detects wild animals through AI image recognition to reduce crop damage. Designed for outdoor use where power and connectivity are limited, with low-power embedded design and the durability to keep running in the field.

Underwater robotics rated to 600m

ROV Development

A remotely operated underwater vehicle rated to a depth of 600 metres. Pressure-resistant design, communication and control underwater, and video transmission — engineering under conditions that share few assumptions with dry land.

Tactical AR goggle system

HAPT OASIS

An augmented reality system that links goggles with a firearm, presenting the information a soldier needs within their field of view. The aim is access to that information without looking away, so situational awareness holds while decisions are made. We are currently prototyping on Apple Vision Pro.
