Roman legionaires

Finaly after some long time taking for the painitng of this first part of my legion, I want to show the results.
To be honest, many other mini's came along my painting table while painitng the legionaires. After painitng many uniform mini's I always need some mini's to feel free in choice of colour.

As you can see I chose a red theme for the uniform at not a more white or beige theme. The shields are decals thanks to the Schildschmiede.

 Maybe they will get some more shapes in the present future...

The mini's are from the Linear A set "Spartacus Uprising".

Roman patrol

this is a small dio that shows two Roman legionaries on a patrol in a little bit inaccessible area.
Some rocks, some ground, some grass, wood an d a little bit of artifical water and voila....it's done.

Republican Roman Cavalry

Hey ho and a happy new year, even it's some days old right now.

I like to show you some of my work betwenn my actually big project. Here are some roman cavalry bods from Zvezda.

I mainly took a orange colour scheme, cause I like it on those ones.

Conquer of Egypt

Hey folks,

here's another small little dio with some Egyptian Caesar bods and some old Revell Romans. The base is from figone.
I called it  conquer of Egypt and it goes in hand with some of my last dios dealing with the Egyptians.
I do not know, if it is rigth shwoing the Romans with irons weapons and the Egyptians with bronce omces, but I decided to paint them this way.
If my knowdelge of ancient history is not wrong, Egyptians also should have had iron blades by the time Rome made Egypt to a province.

 The Romans, as the Revell set deals with Praetorians, are painted in a praetoran white style.

Ancient grave robbers

Hi folks,

I'm presenting you the first theme of my ancient Egyptian pyramid theme. During the last time  I always thinking about some Egytian diorama, but I could not come to a straight decision what to build.I was thinking abot an entire pyramid, but that would havegone beyond the scope of my workbench ;)

So the first part of this theme is a tunnel in a part of pyramid. No one knows whether this is the right way to the pharaohs tomb and treasure chamber or just a dead end.

The dio is a first try and part, to realize the theme.

So, the grave robbers are some Roman praetorians executing the emperors order, for the search of an ancient and mysterious artefact, which might have unknown powers (huuuuuh).

However, the praetorians and some auxilia are on there way....

Not to forget, the bods are from Revell and Caesar.
