How the integrations work
- HireLayer app
- Built and maintained by HireLayer: a node, an app or our MCP server you add to the tool.
- Ready-made template
- A file from HireLayer, such as a connector definition or a script, that you import into the tool.
- API recipe
- Step-by-step setup on the tool’s own API, web hooks or HTTP module, with the fields to map.

ATS integration
ATS integration for AI resume screening
Most applicant tracking systems already store resumes, but they don’t tell you wich applicants actually meet the job’s criteria. An ATS integration with HireLayer adds that step without changing how recruiters work: every new application is parsed, scored and anotated in the ATS itself. In practice it’s a small handler between two APIs, and the same four steps apply to Greenhouse, Lever, Bullhorn, Teamtailor, Zoho Recruit, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle Recruiting Cloud.
- 1
A candidate applies
Your ATS sends a webhook (or your job polls its API) with the application, the job and a link to the resume.
- 2
Parse the resume
Your handler downloads the file and sends it to CV Extract, which returns contact details, work history, education, languages and skills as JSON.
- 3
Score it against the job
Match compares the resume with criteria extracted once per job by Job Extract, and returns a score with an explanation per criterion.
- 4
Write the result back
A note, a tag or custom fields on the candidate, through the ATS’s own API. Recruiters see the score where they already work.
Want the screening logic on its own, outside any ATS? See the AI resume screening API. Building an ATS and need parsing inside your product? Start with the resume parsing API for ATS platforms.
ATS integration: questions
What is an ATS integration API?
It is the set of API endpoints and webhooks an applicant tracking system exposes so other software can read and update candidates, applications and jobs. HireLayer plugs into it from the outside: the ATS tells your handler that someone applied, HireLayer parses and scores the resume, and the ATS API stores the result on the candidate.
Can HireLayer screen applicants inside my ATS?
Yes. Each new application gets a score against the job’s criteria and an explanation per criterion, written back as a note, a tag or custom fields. Recruiters filter and sort in the ATS as usual. Scores support human hiring decisions; they never replace them.
Do I need a marketplace app to connect my ATS?
No. Every ATS page describes a recipe on the ATS’s public API and webhooks: the trigger, the calls to make and the fields to map. You need API credentials from your ATS admin and a HireLayer API key.
How much does AI screening cost per application?
Usually 2 credits per application (one to parse the resume, one to score it), plus 1 credit per job to extract its criteria. 1 successful API call = 1 credit across every API. The free plan includes 50 credits a month.
