If you have purchased a hosting package and want your site to start loading from our servers, you will need to set the following nameservers on your domain:

• For Start and Business hosting types, the nameservers will be:
  ns1.hostico.ro
  ns2.hostico.ro
  ns3.hostico.ro
  ns4.hostico.ro
• In the case of Reseller hosting, the nameservers will be customized according to the domain used when placing the order:
  ns1.domain.tld
  ns2.domain.tld
  
  
• In the case of VPS hosting, the nameservers will be customized according to the domain used when placing the order:
  ns1.domain.tld
  ns2.domain.tld

In the case of creating custom nameservers, the allocated IPs and the nameservers themselves will be communicated to you via email along with the hosting account administration details after the activation of the ordered hosting package.
The propagation of the newly set nameservers on the domain may take up to 24 hours.

Domain identity protection is a security measure that conceals the personal data of domain owners.

Why do I need WHOIS protection?
At the time of registering a wide range of extensions including: .com, .net, .org, the data of the person under whose name the domains are registered is public, and in a WHOIS search, this information will be displayed and accessible to everyone. To ensure the anonymity of the owner and to avoid potential identity theft, it is advisable to activate WHOIS protection on all owned domains.

Is domain identity protection free?
WHOIS protection is not free; this service is charged separately from the actual domain registration. This service can be purchased separately at the time of domain registration, or if the domain is already registered, you can contact the sales department for an invoice.

Can all domains benefit from WHOIS protection?
The vast majority of domains offer the possibility to purchase WHOIS protection, but there are exceptions. For .ro domains, WHOIS protection cannot be purchased, but it is activated by default upon registration of the domain, but only for individuals, as they are protected in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR).

I have purchased WHOIS protection and no longer wish to benefit from it; can it be deactivated?
WHOIS protection can be deactivated at any time, as long as the domain is active, but the amount paid for this service is non-refundable.

A subdomain is a "web address" created by adding a prefix to a regular domain. For example, the following are considered subdomains: forum.example.com, dev.example.com, store.example.com, and so on. A subdomain has its own root folder and its own files, consequently, it can host a standalone site.

A subdomain can have:
- DNS records.
- email accounts with the subdomain name.

The EPP code, also known as the "Transfer Key", "Authorization Key", "Domain secret", "Transfer Key", "Transfer Code", is a string of alphanumeric characters that provides an enhanced level of security for domain management. The code is unique to each domain and is used when a domain transfer from one registrar to another is desired.

At the moment a domain registration order is placed, the status of the domain will be automatically displayed in the client interface.
Alternatively, you can directly access the Domains page, where you can check if a domain is available for registration or not.
It will show Register - in case the domain is available on the market; or Transfer - in case the domain is already registered.

1. In the case of purchasing a hosting package for one year, the transfer and thus domain renewal will be carried out for free. For more details, you can visit the Domains page.

2. If you have hosting at Hostico, to centralize the record of services you can transfer your domain(s) to us, the management of which can be done later from a single account, the Hostico account.

For most extensions, the domain name must consist of at least 3 characters and a maximum of 63. The characters used must belong to the Latin alphabet (Aa-Zz) and Arabic numbers (0-9), but at the same time, the character " - " can also be used. A domain name cannot start or end with " - ", however, digits (0-9) can be at the beginning and at the end of the domain name. It is important to keep the domain information updated, as this is useful if there is a need to prove domain ownership.
Maintaining updated data adds credibility as long as the data is public.
