Curvy Sake Set
This green Sake set was handmade on the potter's wheel with a speckled clay body. I trimmed and shaped the carafe and little cups on the wheel at leather hard. I glazed it with a strontium and a white glaze and fired it to cone 6 in an electric kiln at 2200 degrees F. The carafe holds about four cups of liquid and each cup can hold about 2 fl oz of liquid. The set is microwave and dishwasher friendly and my glazes are all food safe. Slight imperfections are a part of handmade pottery and add character to the piece. I do my best to represent the colors as close to the piece as possible.
