American Legion Post 139 in Virginia Square is about to get a patriotic makeover. Artist Scott LoBaido has chosen the post at 3445 Washington Blvd for the next mural on his Fifty State Tour, in which he aims to paint a flag mural on either a VFW or American Legion building in all fifty states.

Atlantic City in New Jersey is home to over 70 beautiful outdoor wall murals. The majority of the murals were created under the Atlantic City Arts Foundation's flagship program called 48 Blocks AC. There's a map on the Atlantic City Arts Foundation website that you can follow if you want to check them out while visiting A.C. 2014 "Patriot Mural" - 405 N Key Avenue, Lampasas, TX this 20' x 83' mural depicts a freedom eagle, talons grasping a ribbon with the words "In God We Trust".  Along the ribbon are patches of branches of service and first responders.    The mural was painted in 600 hours totally with volunteer labor and the assistance from local veterans, first responders, active-military and their families.   In addition a $500 donation was made to the Wounded Warriors project.
