If you want run Dagda in a standalone server mode within a docker container for allowing its use by REST API, you need set the next environment variables:
export VULNDB_HOST=mongodb.dagda.io # Your MongoDB host
export VULNDB_PORT=27017 # Your MongoDB port
export DAGDA_HOST=0.0.0.0
export DAGDA_PORT=5000
After setting the previous variables for your environment, you must run the next docker command for starting de server (See Dagda start sub-command for details):
$ docker run -p $DAGDA_PORT:$DAGDA_PORT \
-v /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock:ro \
-v /tmp:/tmp:ro \
dagda:0.8.0 start -s $DAGDA_HOST -p $DAGDA_PORT \
-m $VULNDB_HOST -mp $VULNDB_PORT
If you want use Dagda CLI from a docker container, you only need set DAGDA_HOST and DAGDA_PORT environment variables and then, you can use the Dagda CLI without restrictions.
$ docker run -e DAGDA_HOST=$DAGDA_HOST -e DAGDA_PORT=$DAGDA_PORT \
dagda:0.8.0 vuln --init_status
