When your balance is low or your available credit is insufficient, you can get an instant airtime through the Hutch Airtime Advance service. The Airtime Advance can be used for calls, SMS, data, IDD, roaming, VAS services, or to activate a data or combo plan. The service is available through multiple channels: USSD, IVR, SMS, or the Selfcare app.
To request a Airtime Advance, simply:
• Dial *232#If you are an eligible customer, you can obtain a Airtime Advance starting from Rs. 5 up to Rs. 1,000, with NO EXPIRATION. You can also request a data or combo plan as an airtime advance, with plans ranging from Rs. 6 up to Rs. 998. The validity of the data or combo plan will depend on the selected plan.
Eligible customers may also receive an SMS with the allocated Airtime Advance amount when their main account balance is low.

The Airtime Advance amount will be automatically recovered in the following ways when you do a recharge.
Method 1 – Full recovery
If the recharge is sufficient to recover the Airtime Advance amount & service fee completely.
Method 2 – Partial Recovery
If the recharge is insufficient to recover the Airtime Advance amount & service fee completely. Partial Recovery Example: *If your Airtime Advance amount is Rs.60 & if you recharge Rs.30, Rs.30 will be deducted for the Airtime Advance . (Balance outstanding of Rs.30 will be notified via SMS)
Method 3 - Recovered from Pack Recharges
If the recharge is done for a pack activation, ex; 988 pack. If there is a Airtime Advance due amount including service fee is Rs.100. The system will automatically recover the Airtime Advance amount + service fee and will be sent an SMS or USSD push message to customer “You have insufficient balance to get your bundle. Activate it now with Rs. [Airtime_Advance_PRINCIPAL] + Rs. [Airtime_Advance_FEE] (service fee). Reply "1" now!”.
If customer response with 1, the customer will activate the requested plan and will offer a Airtime Advance. If not, the remaining balance will be in the customer’s main wallet.
Yes. You can activate a Airtime Advance without paying back the previous Airtime Advance only if you are eligible for additional Airtime Advance amount as part of Hutch multiple Airtime Advance service. Otherwise, you must settle the previous Airtime Advance to activate a new Airtime Advance.
You can use the Airtime Advance to purchase or activate any product or service offered through Hutch. This includes voice calls, SMSs, Data Packs, as well as other Value-Added Services. Also, you can directly activate Data bundle pack or Combo plans without purchasing.
Airtime Advance Fee will be including taxes 20% from the Airtime Advance value. Ex: If a customer obtains a Rs.30.00 Airtime Advance, the service fee including taxes Rs.6.00. Customers need to pay Rs.36 total fee.
You will be eligible for this service if you have recharged at least Rs. 50 and have been active on the network for more than one month. The credit limit for customers who have been on the network for more than 3 months will be determined based on their past recharge patterns, Airtime Advance repayment history, any outstanding Airtime Advance amounts, and number of years that you have stayed within the Hutch network.

There is no expiration date for the Airtime Advance you have taken. However, if you request a data or combo plan as a Airtime Advance, the Airtime Advance’s validity will match the validity of the specific plan you requested and will apply only to that particular Airtime Advance value.
