Hello again!

As we've mentioned before in other news posts, we are working on the Classic Games update that will not only improve your gameplay experience, but also remove a ton of pesky bugs you've seen over the time. For those unfamiliar with the recent roadmap for the classic games, you can visit this thread the team posted 3 weeks ago.

The first update is officially here: VampireZ!

A new update has been released for VampireZ, available to play now in the Classic Lobby. Read on below for a full list of changes and additions or play it right now by clicking the Classic Lobby NPC, game menu icon, or using the command /lobby classic.

Warlords - New Achievements, Maps, Prestige and More!

Hey everyone!

We have just released an update for Warlords that includes new achievements, quests, maps, prestige and more! Over the past 2 months we have been working together with the player council and the Warlords community on several Quality of Life Updates for Warlords. Similar to other Quality of Life updates we have done, we presented a roadmap to the Warlords community to show our plan and to keep everyone up to date on our progress at each stage. Today's update includes all the remaining stages apart from new specializations (more information about that can be found below).

Capture The Wool - New Prototype Game Live Now!

Hello everyone!

Today we are releasing a new game in the Prototype Lobby - Capture The Wool!
Capture the Wool gamemodes are very popular and fun games in the Minecraft community and we wanted to make our own version of the mode, we really hope you'll enjoy it!

The Game
If you are not familiar with Capture the Wool modes, they are very intense team PvP games where a player of either team has to steal a Wool from the enemy side and bring it back to their own base in order to capture it.

Each team defends 2 different Wools located on each side of their base.

Those Wool Houses are protected areas where only enemy team members can enter. There, they can find the Wool Fountain and grab as many Wools as they want. But now comes the hard part, making it back to base!

Kits and Shopkeeper
During the game, players can earn gold by killing the other team and capturing wools. Gold can be used to purchase Kits and items, which are lost on death.

Kits and Shopkeepers are located in front of the base.

Whether you like to rush the enemy Wool, defend yours or brawl, those options are available during the game. Strategize and fight your way to victory!

Play with your friends!

Upon clicking on the lobby NPC in the Prototype lobby, we show you every game where your friends are playing so you can join them!

Capture The Wool games are ongoing. Players will most of the time be joining games already in progress and everyone in that game will automatically be queued into another game when it ends.

Developer Note [ Why ongoing games?
CTW games can be short, but they can also be very long. From experience, we know that team games can be ruined when too many players leave during that game, having players join at all times makes all games fair until the end.​
Also in CTW, games are never over. Any team can clutch a victory! So even if you join late, the fate of the game is still in your hands!]

Arcade - Zombies Update and Miniwalls Maps

Hey! Today we have released a juicy Zombies update to Arcade, including a new map, new guns, new powerups, difficulties, bugfixes, and more! The new map - Alien Arcadium - contains a plethora of exclusive new features, while the old Zombies maps receive some QoL changes and a return of difficulties! Additionally, we have added 4 new Miniwalls maps. Read on to learn more about the update.

Developer Summary - Pregame Improvements

Hello all,

With the pregame changes finishing up, we wanted to make a summary thread on all of the changes that we have made and some of the positive changes they have made to the server. You can read the original pregame improvements update thread HERE which includes some information on some of the changes made by the new pregame framework and how they affected games.

In this thread we will be talking about:
  • Why we made these changes
  • What the new pregame system is
  • Some cool data showing how the new pregame system has positively affected games on the network
  • What we plan to do with the system in the future
