Hypixel Tournaments - Wool Wars 4v4 (2nd iteration/rerun)
It's time to test your skill in our next Hypixel Tournament, Wool Wars 4v4!
If you don't know about tournaments or the Tournament Hall, or if you'd like to know more about some of the terms in this post, make sure to take a look at the first tournament post.
Due to the previous tournament last week being canceled, we are hosting a re-run/2nd iteration next weekend! If you missed the news about the previously canceled tournament, you can read more information here. To keep players up to date, we have made the following changes in the last week:
- We've reduced the amount of playable games from 100 to 80 based on feedback from players.
- We've made changes to improve the pregame-obfuscation system that should prevent methods to identify players in the server.
- Reworked some of the matchmaking code to use a single queue for all tournaments going forward
- This means for games such as Wool Wars that had a custom queue, if the mode is a tournament we will use our standard queue instead of this so we can be sure all tournaments have the same matchmaking and work as expected.
- These changes have also allowed us to do some under-the-hood optimizations and add some additional metrics for monitoring the matchmaking results.
- This change is also undergoing large internal testing with our QA team to validate there are no missed issues with making sure players are in their correct brackets.
- We've rolled out a new system that works alongside game history to include tournament information, this includes the servers bracket and points earned for each player in the game.
- While this wouldn't have allowed us to fix the previously canceled tournament for the same reasons previously mentioned, this gives both us and players an easy way to view what bracket servers they have played in and the points they earned.
- We also released the participation rewards for the previously canceled iteration, if you haven't already claimed them you can still do so in the rewards NPC under the previous tournaments option.
►How to participate?
The Wool Wars tournament will take place on September 8th.
It will last 48 hours total, from 6:00 PM EDT September 8 to 6:00 PM EDT September 10.
There will be a Tournament Mode NPC in the Wool Wars lobby (as well as the tournament Hall).

You don't need to have played in previous ones to participate. You are on an even footing in every tournament.
►How to participate?
The Wool Wars tournament will take place on August 25th.
It will last 48 hours total, from 6:00 PM EDT August 25 to 6:00 PM EDT August 27.
There will be a Tournament Mode NPC in the Wool Wars lobby (as well as the tournament Hall).
