DIY: Turn your plain black converse into retro splash shoes! All you need is one pair of black converse shoes, and some bleach! Wash black shoes in the washer with water and a splash of bleach; air dry shoes. The shoes should be a dark brown color. Now comes the creativity! Splash bleach on shoes to get desired effect; immediately rinse with cold water to prevent bleach from eating through fabric. Air dry. WARNING: Do not get bleach on skin, eyes, or clothing!

Crinkle up black converse and spray with bleach and water

Bleached shoes. You can use any color shoe. Just drizzle bleach onto shoe with an old toothbrush. Let them sit in the sun for an hour or until dry. You can do whatever you want with the shoe strings.

DIY fail: if you want to bleach converse spray don't soak. I soaked my first pair of converse and the bleach literally destroyed my shoes and dissolved the fabric ruining my shoes. I got a great lesson from this, but RIP my first pair of babies.
