Ossification: Bone Formation and growth in length

Achondroplasia is the most common skeletal dysplasia. It results in Rhizomelic dwarfism (the dominant feature is proximal (i.e. femoral and humeral) limb shortening). Characterized by disproportionate dwarfism (normal sized torso & short limbs).
