Christchurch-based design studio McCarthy has come out from the woodwork after quietly working away on some beautiful brand identities and campaigns, with the reveal of their new identity design for the Arts Foundation (Te Tumu Toi). In approaching McCarthy to rebrand the programme initially, they also helped to cement the institution’s position within New Zealand as an active supporter of young artists and thereby also contributing to inspiring the next generation of creatives.

Layout design for Her Story magazine – the flagship publication / book of its namesake. Her Story are based in Mumbai, India and are backed by Walking Tree – a global luxury jewelry brand. The final piece has a soft cover and is designed to be part magazine / part coffee table brochure – this is reflected in both the typography, photography and editorial-style grid system and content.

Jefferson Hack’s new publication, _We Can’t Do This Alone: Jefferson Hack The System_ doesn’t disappoint. With contributions from the likes of Tilda Swinton, Bjork, Douglas Coupland and Rankin, each copy of the 5,000 print run will have a unique, numbered cover created in collaboration with Kodak.
