Some of these lessons I learned the hard way- don’t be like me! 1. Instead of a pencil, use a chalk line to mark the walls where you would like your dado rail to go. Especially up the stairs! 2. Plan how many picture frame panels you would like to create and draw them on the walls BEFORE you stick down any moulding. 3. If you don’t have a professional mitre saw to cut your wood, a mitre box saw or a junior hacksaw can still get the job done! 4. Kelly Griffiths on Instagram: "Save for later: add a large paneled wall for an instant upgrade! It’s important to plan your layout ahead of time and figure out how to end the paneling. Things to consider:

1. Doorways: how can the paneling go around the doorways and still match the rest of the design of the home.
2. Transition areas: any openings, transitions need to blend in as well.
3. Outlets and switches: how will the paneling affect their placement. Plan ahead before electrical.
4. We used Sherwin Williams Pure White in semi gloss.
So easy to wipe down in a high traffic area.
