12 inch block sampler quilt

I love sampler quilts. How about you? Have you made a Block of the Month sampler quilt - or just your own sampler quilt? So all the blocks from the tutorials I've been doing are really adding up! What to do with them all??? Make a sampler quilt, of course.

Quite some time ago a couple of lovely ladies and I were chatting on Instagram and thought it would be fun to do a sampler project together. We decided to take turns choosing and posting blocks so that other quilters could join in if they wanted too. Corinna and Anna are still posting blocks every so often

12-inch quilt blocks are a common size and are great for beginners. You can often make them without using any tiny pieces but still have a beautiful and unique quilt.

Dagmar recently finished this quilt for her daughter who’s house is decorated in tans and taupes and neutrals….definitely the colors of today. She made it with the alternate quilt blocks from a Saturday Sampler series a few years ago. She brought it in and we had one of our long arm quilters finish it for her.

When I shared this Sampler quilt with my email list, they wanted to know which blocks I used. So this tutorial will go through each of the 12 blocks and the sashing and borders. (Please excuse the less-than-perfect picture of the finished top.)
