How to Prep Leeks - Worthington Eats
Do you ever see leeks at the grocery store but you have no idea what to do with them, so you just walk on by? Here is a quick and easy tutorial to help keep you from missing out on these delicious seasonal onions! Start by chopping off the dark green part, they’re super fiberous. You really only want to use the white and light green parts so when you’re picking them out be sure to find leeks with long white parts. Keeping the root end attached at this stage helps keep them together and easier to handle. Time to chop. Depending on the size leeks you’d like to cook with, make cuts lengthwise then chop them up, throw away the root and cook! Find more on my
