Blaster Power Idaten Racer 2 is a fun and nostalgic album reminiscent of 2000’s era video game soundtracks such as “Gran Turismo 4” or the “Rush” series. IDATEN brings it up to date with skillful production and professional audio quality which gives it a more modern sound. With the 5th track “愛の化身 (Ai No Keshin)” artists like “T-Square” or “TRIX” come to mind as the album steers away from video game music and enters into Japanese jazz fusion territory. I should also mention I’m a fan of Naco. Excellent work! Favorite track: Body Shop.
