There will be quite a few comments probably on how this in not an authentic Mysore masala chutney but I value human emotions and its roots more than sacredness of authentic recipe. I am sharing my recipe of Kempu(red) chutney I ate growing up. My Amma would make this mainly as a side dish for Jowar rotti and probably felt the need to use the leftovers for Dosè. Nonetheless, this is the one my family prefers as many a times they skip the coconut chutney and eat it as a Dosè roll . I promise to post few more variations of the chutney soon and you can be the judge as what you prefer.
