Complementary colour scheme

This image is part of my complementary colors exercise for my camera club. The purple BG was blotchy, so I used some PS filters--poster and texturizer. I wish the stems were longer.

This living room shows great contrast with the orange elements against the blue background. The two colours are situated directly opposite each on the colour wheel, which makes this picture an example of a complementary colour scheme. With Orange being a warm colour and blue being a cool colour, this makes a winning combination.
