This guy was a legend, joined the Donner Party heading to California. Was a bachelor with no relation to anybody else in the party. However he not only returned once to bring supplies but twice helping to guide party members to safety. He eventually fell fowl to snow blindness and the cold and ended up dying alone in the snows of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
