Dragon Cake In Pale Gold And Brown This is my disaster dragon cake - I dropped the dragon in the floor after many, many hours of work.......

My dragon cake Chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream icing filling and covering. Dragon mounded out of squished up cake offcuts and covered with fondant icing. Legs, spikes, etc made of fondant icing. Wings made of candy melts. Treasure made of fondant icing and coated in gold dazzle dust. The dragon's scales are made with a piece of wire shaped and pushed into the icing to give a scale impression. Then dusted lightly with a metallic dazzle dust.

Only thing better than birthday cake is birthday cake with a dragon on it! Bottom two books were chocolate cake. Top book and top tier were vanilla cake. Dragon was sculpted from Rice Krispies Treats and covered with fondant, then painted. Chain and wings were made of gumpaste.
