Stronger thighs can also help to prevent injury and pain 🙌🏼  Here are two suggestions that can increase quadriceps strength. The quadriceps muscles help to straighten your knee. Keep that in mind during these exercises ☝🏽  There are tons of different ways to strengthen these muscles including seated and standing variations.   For the step up, I do prefer a smaller step stool like the one I am using especially if you have knee pain and/or don’t have a lot of leg strength 👀  The key is making sure these exercises feel good! When there’s instability in single leg, I like to start with single leg exercises in non weight bearing and progress as form and strength increase 

One thing that might help as you strengthen the hip complex is to think about your foot landing wider than you are used to. This will improve your hip stability and decrease the leg crossover

Yes, they test it all.
I'm not saying you have to do pistol squats to increase all that. You can do other exercises too. But if you want to work on them, this is a good place to start. 💪🏼

Of course, I generalized here, and it can (or should) all be tailored to your needs. But I assure you, doing drills from this video will surely increase strength in your quads, hamstrings, glutes, calves, and core.
