When we moved we knew we needed to improve the mudroom situation. There was just nowhere to hang up all of the jackets and keep all of the shoes.

The porch, initially about 60 sq. ft., lacked proper insulation, had single-pane windows, and a storm door in place of a proper entry door. The goal was to transform it into a semi-conditioned mudroom with a utility area for laundry and space for storing items like boots, jackets, hats, and gloves.
