D1047 WESTERN LORD at Exeter St Davids 29-08-69. This Pic is part of a collection from the 1960's & 1970's. They are all prints of various sizes with some colour and some black & white with almost half having written details on the rear. The photographs were purchased as a set some time ago and after spending some time cleaning the images up I now feel it is time to show them and not let the collection just hide away. Having rolled around the corner less than a minute after the previous train (hauled by 1048), had disappeared into the tunnels, Western Class 52 no. 1033 Western Trooper had to wait a few minutes before launching into this spirited departure on a busy summer Saturday.
