Twitter owner Elon Musk is taking aim at tech giant Apple after claiming the company had slashed its advertising on the platform.

“Apple has mostly stopped advertising on Twitter. Do they hate free speech in America?” he tweeted on Monday.

He shared a tweet from a publishing company that claimed Apple would not let its apps on the App Store unless it filtered out certain search results.

“Who else has Apple censored?” Musk asked.

Later he tweeted out a poll that stated, “Apple should publish all censorship actions it has taken that affect its customers.”

Respondents were presented with “yes” or “no” for the choices.

Within two hours, nearly 800,000 users had voted and roughly 86% said “yes.”

Later, Musk claimed Apple had threatened to block Twitter from the App Store but did not provide an explanation.

He also asked if users were aware Apple reportedly charges them “a secret 30% tax on everything you buy through their App Store.”

The billionaire then tweeted a meme of a car swerving to take an exit.

Text on the exit signs read “PAY 30%” or “GO TO WAR” and the car was headed down the latter road.

There was text over the car which read “ELON.”
