Historical Publication Info
History
Georges Schonenberger (born in Mitlödi (Switzerland), 22-July-1807 died in Pirminsberg (Switzerland), July 1856) managed this firm from 1830 in Paris. It published mainly domestic music: for piano, but also for harp (Bochsa, Prumier), clarinet (F Berr) and flute (Leopoldine Blahetka, Berbiguier). Apparently left in the hands of family members after his death in 1856, the firm was advertised for sale in June, 1875, and bought by Lemoine.
