Mina Stein, 20, from Frankfurt, Germany, is encouraging others to embrace their skin, after struggling with cystic acne for the past two years that was triggered by taking birth control pills.

After years of battling this pesky condition, she posted her progress pics, but not everyone celebrated them. While most people complimented the author and her efforts, some thought she was wearing makeup in her before pictures (that's how good of a glow-up it was!).
