Ancient Greek theater masks are one of the most defining aspects of ancient theatrical performances and festivals.

Greek theaters had large semicircle amphitheaters for the audience and could be built into a hill. In the center of the amphitheater is an orchestra. Behind the orchestra is the skene which served as a place for actors to change masks and costumes.
