👩🏽‍🍳To make it, you will need…

1 kg apples (I used royal gala but any is ok)
3 cups sugar 
1/2 lemon juice

⭐️Wash your apples, then cut into rough quarters. There is no need to peel or core the apples. Place in a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to the boil, then reduce the heat and cook for about 30 minutes until the apples are very soft and mushy.

⭐️Line a colander with a cloth or a square of muslin and set it over a large bowl. Spoon in the apples and juices and allow to stand until all the juices have dripped out without squeezing the juices out.
