James David Raj photographed a Snowy Owl in Ontario, Canada. Snowy Owls are also known as Polar Owls and are characterised by their white and brown barred appearance. Male owls tend to have lesser brown streaks when compared to females. Snowy Owls prefer Arctic tundras as habitats and are seen in open grasslands.

The snowy owl is more agile than other owls and is able to capture birds while in flight.
