I finally jumped on the chalk paint bandwagon. I bought a desk off of Craigslist a few months ago. It's fake wood with that plastic-y coating and it was in pretty bad shape, but it is the exact size and shape that we were looking for. This desk features a beautiful burled veneer top that has been completely refinished with General Finishes Water Base Dye Stains. It is a custom color mix consisting of Medium Brown Dye Stain with a touch of Dark Brown Dye Stain and sealed with Arm R Seal. The base of the desk was hand painted in a custom off white and then perfectly aged using General Finishes Van Dyke Brown Glaze.
