Have Peonies all summer long by harvesting the buds. A very easy step-by-step tutorial to help you save your own for arrangement later.

The only bummer of peonies is they only bloom ONCE! So the season is over all too soon.

🌸 Find the buds that are soft to touch like a marshmallow.
🌸 I also like to cut some smaller hard buds because they look pretty in a vase with big blooms.
🌸 Cut them back long enough to fit in a big ziplock bag. Be sure to trim off most of the big the leaves.
🌸 Wrap them well in Saran Wrap.
🌸 Seal them in a large ziplock bag. I use 2 gallon bags!
🌸 Store in the refrigerator horizontally (NOT freezer!) until you’re ready to use! Best by 3 months.
