And in my opinion, makes the most elegant form. I first pull lots of short pieces in preparation for my mugs. About 2.5 inches long,  and set them to the side. Be sure to slip in score with attaching the handle onto your pottery. I first tap the bottom of the handle to get a nice wide point of attachment and then blend in all the creases once attached. I like to pull the handle on the form again to get a uniform look. I always go back through, add a bit of Clay to any spots that are needing it and blend any problem areas.
