This is probably one of the most exciting blues and rock combinations I have recently come across on my radar. We head to Greece and meet the five-piece indie band Timeless Afternoon, who present truly timeless musical compositions on their new self-titled LP.

I really like their groovy, energetic, and atmospheric character. What makes their sound stand out is the wide-ranging instrumentation, placing expressive vocals alongside bright Hammond organ riffs, impressive synthesizer textures filled with virtuosity, and excellent saxophone parts. The overall ten tracks offer a special psychedelic vibe and are marked by English and Greek lyrics, which creates a strong contrast.

Moreover, I want to highlight the dynamic percussive elements and driving rhythms, which feel incredibly infectious. Another key aspect is the strong retro flair, evoking the spirit of the 70s. The complexity of the percussion patterns, the sophisticated arpeggios and the airy, almost ethereal layers make the album an absolute listening journey that feels like a beautiful musical trip.
