Your IP address (Internet Protocol Address) is your unique identifier on the internet. It is assigned by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and enables communication between your device and servers worldwide. There are two versions: IPv4 (e.g. 203.0.113.42) and the newer IPv6 (e.g. 2001:db8::1).
IPv4 uses 32-bit addresses and provides about 4.3 billion unique addresses. As these are nearly exhausted, IPv6 was introduced with 128-bit addresses – enough for virtually unlimited devices.
On this page you can also see your Internet provider (ISP), the ASN (Autonomous System Number), your approximate location and information about your operating system and browser. This data is determined directly with each page load and is not stored.
