Don’t waste my time Don’t waste my time Don’t waste your time Forever we waste our time The more you think you suffer I’d like to fly away I’ll swim through the ocean bed Endless motion Runs through this body I tried to find my way But I got lost in a blinding haze I was so alone These blazing scars light my broken soul Why do we falter, why do we feel And Fall into a black abyss Forever in battle with These fucking scars on my broken soul Forever alone With these fucking scars on my broken soul No light for me No compassion for me No freedom for me No light for me No love for me No serenity No love from me No light for me No more poverty No more hunger and shame No more bombs and grenades No child labor and rape (scream) No more slavery No more racial hate No false gods nor clerics Burn your righteous ideals Set the black soul free More light for them More light for thee Shine light on them Shine a light on thyself

I know not Where I was born Grotesque guise Forever habitual in form Left behind to rot in inner prison walls Hidden fires, burn us Awaken to the sounds of the world The scriptures guide We have opened the gates Gazed upon as lepers I hear the scrambling Of footsteps, as they run Raised in the dark Your fear feeds me Only bitterness I know Run away or cover us We are the ghouls In reflections of their eyes To live we must die

Sudra 23:34
Lay rest the body We roam the cosma free Free from division Of colour and creed Why must we collide? So violently We lay the body down Broken scarred and tired Worn of tireless beatings We raise the fires of gods Oppressors Pain on my skin We wonder When will we be free from this hell Of tireless torture To Live in alienage forever Oh father Speaker of truth Countless warnings Never saw the truth in a sea of lies Why do we worship the stature of color Bred to remain a subservient peasant Minding the bloody fields Misguided beliefs that threaten to destroy Our primal essence You’ll never own my freedom You’ll never break my freedom This freedom is mine Pour flames in the cuts Wounds for posterity Reflections in blood Shackle the sons Don’t you see what you’ve done Left us to rot in the burning fields The peasant uprising Will devour your heartless transgressions Sudra (scream together), won’t you come together Together we stand, fight the injustice Sudra, oh won't you come Together, forever as one This endless sorrow Where does it end We shall not be broken Broken O’Sudra Won't you rise up Claim your rightful throne This freedom that's yours alone This freedom Is yours alone Break free

about

The original inspiration for this album was born out of both artists’ common observation and acknowledgment of the plight of racial injustice experienced by minorities within their home country of Malaysia. This was the starting platform that ignited the conception of ‘Sudra’ - the lowest of the 4 Hindu caste system sub-classes also referred to as the slave class. Upon further introspection and discussion, it became apparent that to defend & highlight the rights of only a single group of persons denotes a hypocrisy that is no better than those responsible for the injustices themselves. Any cause or belief system that only favors a single sub-group of people or community may (intentionally or unintentionally) become a reductive one, forgetting the needs of all while taking into account our collective experiences as humans on this Earth. And such a view can never encompass the totalistic truth of our unity and integration as human beings.

This album stands as an undying anchor for ANYBODY who has been a victim of discrimination and fascist oppression – be it of a physical or psychological nature of violent intent. If you are such a person who has experienced this, then know that:
a. We feel and share in your pain
b. You are not Alone
c. You must remain rooted in the unwavering strength of the boundless spirit of who you are. Rest assured that despite their grand displays of haughty might, THEY will never win. Because they operate from a source of fear. Any action that is born out of fear is doomed to its own self-destruction and disintegration.

Our hearts go out to all individuals who have been on the receiving end of hate, apathy, alienation, subjugation, and terror. And to those who stand tall and unified with like-minded kindred spirits who seek to break down the walls built by those who choose to hate and separate. Despite the continuous brainwashing attempts of authority figures to instill division amongst us (which is designed to serve their own interests) – division will always breed hostility. And with it, the corruption and erosion of love, kindness, compassion, and freedom.

Everything boils down to a simple choice – that which is born out of fear or that which stems from the light of love. All else is a mirage on this ephemeral planet that we will inhabit for a very short time. Fuck authority and fuck primitive belief systems of control. Shine a light on yourself and set yourself free. Remember, YOU are that light of the sun that shines with an illuminating radiance for eternity.

Love and light,
Hareesh & Trishay
