Handmade Blue and White Ceramic Mug

Elegant white and blue handmade ceramic mug, perfect for your favorite drink. These mugs are made by mixing blue mason stains with the clay to color the clay. After that, I wedge the colored clay with the white clay, prior to throwing on the wheel to get a marbling effect. Finally I glaze the inside of these tumblers using lead-free, non-toxic glazes. Nerikomi Stained Porcelain Clay Test Pieces

Sarah Chatawanich on Instagram: "More is not necessarily better when it comes to stains. The darker stains require much less to be effective. Casa Adams Fine Wares on Instagram: "As a ceramic artist, I use a type of paint called underglaze. It's applied on to the clay pieces once they have been fired to 1000 degrees C. They are then sealed with a coat of clear glaze in a final firing, making them food safe. But at 1200 degrees C, underglazes must be made of pretty special chemical components to withstand the heat and still be vibrant. 🟣 Whilst I use lots of underglazes which I have collected from around the world, I really like…
