The ultimate form of torture is being taken to Room 101. Inside Room 101 is a person’s biggest fear (which is rats in Winston’s case). While in this room, Winston betrays Julia by wishing that her face would get eaten by a rat instead of his own. Later on, he finds out that Julia did something similar in Room 101 and the two of them go their separate ways.
