Absolutely love the concept but, like most, I hit a lot of snags. No NV, zombies too fast and strong, not all controls super clear. I think a *big* issue is its too dark. I know that's the point (hence NV), but I can't even see the tank when i'm standing directly in front of yet, let alone broken treads that I need to fix. Hope you keep working on this because i'd *love* to try a more functional version.

This game scared the heck outta me in the first 5 sec of gameplay.
The zombie/tank combo could be a super cool mechanic. In my opinion, the zombies were a little too strong. I couldn't drive through them or shoot them (I couldn't aim the tank). As others have said, the NV didn't work, though I'm not sure how that would have helped my situation anyway.

Overall, a nice concept.

Thanks for playing the game. For clarification, did the enemies show up too late on the NVG or did they just straight up not show up?

To reaffirm some statements left by other players, yeah the zombies are a little too strong. But more importantly i don't think the night vision is working at least for me and i have no idea if I'm repairing the tank or not. I during my brief playtime i wasn't able to make it to the first waypoint unfortunately. Bonus points for having the practice mode tho.

I am not able to shoot those zombies. Can't aim at them, and even if I could, they're damn fast. Tried to just drive towards the point, but I think (can't see) that they just smash into my tank from the sides or behind, and break it (10-20 times fixed it). I think I reached a point. Then I got another, but when I got there, the top right said I have 0% of something, maybe gas, because even after I fixed it, I couldn't proceed. When I'm out, on foot, I stand no chance against those creatures. A life regen would help after some hits.

Thank you for the feedback. Im not sure if it was a bug, but the tank aiming works by holding down right click and dragging. The tank also breaks down on the tracks and behind at the engine. Ik it's bad game design for me to need to tell this, but if you'd like to take another shot at it and tell us how it went we would be very happy :)

Hi there, just tried it again. Left a detailed description of the issue on your teammate's comment. Don't worry about bad design, we all learn from mistakes. In my game, people have a real hard time what to do after the introductory part. We become better with time. So the tank controls just fine, the difficulty is in the zombies being too powerful and fast. Also, the tank slips on the ground (moves when trying to fix it). I went into practice and when I went into play mode after, I was outside the tank, but controlling the tank, so that's a bug you might want to look into if you decide to push the projects forward. Good luck if that's the case!

Phenomenal feedback, cheers!

Wait can you not aim the tank at all!? Is it not detecting the mouse inputs or is it not doing the ballistic adjustments so you miss? How are you playing it, browser or windows? Is it not detecting your right mouse drag? There is a slight dead zone for the turret aiming, is it that? What resolution are you playing at? Please could you clarify.

Just tried it again. I always use the downloadable when available. So.. The controls work, I can hold right  click and move the turret, I can shoot, everything is fine on that part. What I mean by not being able to aim means that they pop from the shadows, and I have less than a second to react. I simple don't have time, they smash into the tank. Also, they seems to come from one direction only, so If I travel in a different direction I don't see them at all. Also, when I was out of the tank, I was attacked by them, they left me low on life, but I haven't even seen them. They're too fast and I can't guess where they come from. I read and understood the controls. The tank controls ok, it's just the zombies that are too difficult to deal with.

Developer

Thank you so much for the clarification. Looking back at it, making it as hard as I can deal with is probably a bad strategy. And I also relied on three spawn points. I'll be sure to play test next time. Thanks so much for the valuable feedback. Take care✌️

The playground is a great addition, I love to see that kind of bonus content in a jam game!

The intro cutscene dialogue didn't wrap and went off the screen for me on my 1920x1080 screen, so I couldn't read all of the intro.

Driving the tank feels awesome, but I can't figure out how to beat the hell creatures, they block me from getting to my waypoint and I can't seem to shoot them.

Thanks for the feedback! This was my first time working with godots UI and I quickly wanted to add some story to the game. Next time I'll test it for sure. I now realize I should have spent more time with the tutorial. I tried making the tank controls similar to games such as MTC but it's not at all intuitive. Thanks again for the great feedback and for playing the game.
