Had fun with this - second pool themed game I've played but very different. Bouncing between the 'unique' balls was good fun.

Interesting little game. I didn't understand how it fit the theme until a little later. The physics were occasionally a little off, where I bounced off a wall in a weird way. I think it has potential. Definitely continue working on it after the jam.

I had a little bit of trouble keeping momentum with the balls, but this was fun! Curious about how it was implemented

Great game! Had fun playing it! Just work on the movement a bit and rest is fine! Cheers!

As a Game Jam entry, it is a nice game: the physics are fine, the goal is clear, even though I'm not sure what the chalks did when playing (I've read some of your answers and now I know it is to power up the shots ^^)

As a Game Jam entry on the theme "Loop" though... I didn't really feel the theme anywhere unfortunatly, although there's definitely something to be done with an 8-ball and the infinity symbol, good catch on the connection here.

Don't get me wrong, I had fun! I just wonder if the game might be off-topic. Regardless, good job, at least you submitted something that works and is entertaining in time! =)

Really fun game!! Possibly starting each level with a zoom out of the board could help plan ahead, but I really enjoyed it

Developer

Ill definitely try for smoother transitions! Thanks for the criticism!

This was fun, I feel the timing is a bit too tight for the momentum, a bit more juice and bit more forgiving would amp up this game by a lot

Developer

Yeah I definitely agree the movement can be frustrating at times I think i needed to tweak the physics a lot more. Thanks for playing!

Make it sekiro like hehe, I think it has potential to be juicy game

this was really fun! i enjoy the imagery of an 8 ball seeking vengeance, it's really wacky and it lends to the gameplay well! it really feels like the 8 ball is on a rampage through the pool table. I enjoyed the visuals as well, they are elegant and calming and gently evoke retro pc games. well done!

Developer

Thank you for the kind words!!!!

Didn't know what the chalk did, but really good!

Developer

I should’ve definitely explained how the chalk worked 😅, it increases the max power of the bar

Was fun, death zone hitboxes were a little large on the edge; really enjoyed the hit sound effect, was satisfying. Chalk didn't seem to work for me, maybe I'm missing something.

Developer

yeah I should’ve definitely play tested more for hitboxes, thanks for playing regardless!

Chaining the hits was fun. I liked the simple colors and aesthetic. The hitboxes were a bit wonky but overall nice work!

Developer

thank you for playing!

Wow what fantastic design! That you go from one end to the other and only the end changes is really great!

I do think that the death zones might have been made a little more forgiving but maybe I'm just bad... I did sadly have a crash at the tail end of the 5? level and had some gnarly lag spikes each time I shot of from a ball for the first time each level.

The charcoal was a nice idea but I did not quite get why it had to have a button to apply it?

The sound design is fantastic, the pling when you hit a wall is perfect! The minimal art-style lends itself great to this game and is executed beautifully!

Developer

I think theres an issue with when it crashes if you click outside of the screen when playing and for the chalk I wanted it to not be automatic in case you didnt want to add power to your hits

I completely agree that I could have optimized the game better, Thanks for playing and the feedback, its greatly appreciated! :D
