The visuals are very striking, once I got the idea of what I had to do it was a bit more satisfying to play! I think you left your right click shortcut in though? I couldn't get dash to work (didn't realise it was an upgrade) so I started trying other options and was zooming around the map quite a bit haha. Nice job though!

I already have a soft spot for isometric POV games, so I know I'm in for a good time. It's very satisfying to play, especially once I build up the speed and the surround damage, because I can just dash around everywhere collecting upgrade. It definitely got the potential to have an addictive game loop with a bit more upgrades or goals. Great Job!
Such an interesting little game! I really liked the art, the core idea, and how it all unfolds. It’s fairly easy and quick, but still engaging and makes you want to beat your best time. Congrats on the project!
If you have a moment, I’d love if you could check out mine too! Play it here: https://kaijota.itch.io/graverun
Watch the gameplay on YouTube:
Really fun! I like how timely use of getting new upgrades can heal you (if indeed that was intended. If not, it's a bug that allows for major exploits as once I learned that, I was able to pull off some major progress each death, with the first two maps being cleared sub 1 min.) I'm a sucked for mushrooms and really enjoyed the game. Good use of the theme.
2 bugs, though, to bring to your attention: first, if you die while using the dash attack, sometimes it causes your avatar to fly across the map before collapsing. And 2, sometimes the dash attack can land you stuck in rocks, and there's not much you can do beyond waiting to die.
A very interesting game, with distinctive visuals and a lot of creativity.
First of all, I really enjoyed a lot of the elements in this game! Great potential! However, there are a few things I found out to be a little bit off that compromised the gameplay a little and my final experience, but nothing game breaking (just one thing that is actually gamebreaking xD):
First, is the fact that the game isn't clear in a lot of things, for example, it seemed like the level select screen would randomly appear? At first, when I was playing I couldn't understand if I lost or if something else was going on. Only understood it was actually me beating the level when I read some coments here. It was too abrupt and there was almost no feedback indicating what that meant.
Another thing was the life meter, it took me e little bit to notice it at first. Don't know if it's because of the color or the positioning but I would maybe highlight it a little bit better.
Also, I wish the game paused when chosing upgrades (I don't think it did since I died once when I was reading through them). You should give time to read the descriptions and for the player to make his choice in my opinion.
The game breaking bug for me was when I dashed so fast that I got stuck inside the wall and had to restart. That also reminded me of the idea to implement a restart button in the pause menu to quickly go back to action if something like this happens.
Now the rest is just... perfection! The game idea and how you integrated the mechanics and the whole narrative with the theme is extremely creative and I loved it! It fits perfectly with the jams theme!
The graphics are also awesome! I love the pixel art and the UI. Animations are great, I appreciate you spent the time to add UI feedback like transitions. However, there's just one little thing I would change. The title's color in the main menu was hurting my eyes a little bit and it was kinda hard to look at it. Maybe tone down the color a tiny bit because it looked like it was too brigh. But that's just a small detail. The rest is just really great!
Overall, I really liked this game. But I feel like it lost a little bit of points due to the lack of clarity in certain things that made the experience sometimes kinda confusing. Nevertheless, I think that the extremely creative concept and theme allied with the amazing pixel art, animations and music greatly overshadowed these problems, ultimately making up for a great experience! This has a lot of potential! Congratulations on your submission!
Wow! Thank you for your thorough feedback. I‘ll make sure to include it into the updated version. Especially for the time freezing I’m totally on your side. Didn’t think of it originally but I agree that it would be a nice to have. The web version need some work too. May I ask which version you chose? You mentioned UI transitions, though the fullscreen effect didn’t seem to work on web (at least when I tested it).
Wow, I've never seen such gorgeous and smooth animations in an isometric game like this! And thanks for having a how to play section on the main screen, I had to double check I was doing it right, haha. I really like the colors and maps in this game, and the upgrades were actually very useful! I have to agree with what you said in your own comment, though, that it was confusing that beating a level just brought you out to level select. I thought it meant that I failed, haha.
Cute game, and super good graphics! I like my little fungi and his mycelium tree. I hope you keep developing, I want to see more from you in the future!
Ayy really fun little gameplay loop you got goimg. I was super confused at first so it took me embarrassingly long to figure out what to do, but overall very enjoyable. 100% just a me thing but the player movement does feel a tiny tad slow, but the art style is stellar and I like the music in the main menu. Nice job!
Amazing art, game looks beautiful, I am still a little lost on how to beat the game but it was fun to play nonetheless, Good work!
Really fun gameplay loop, took a second to figure out what was going on, but once I got it it was great
wow this game surprised me for how good its game play loop was! and the art in the game is amazing!
This game was very satisfying to play and I loved the visuals! I think the Plains map was the most fun for me to complete because it was one of the bigger maps and, unlike the Atlantis map, there was less water to slow down my character 😂
This game was right up my ally! dash seems to be conected to right mouse. i had a lot of fun chalanging my wife to take over the world fastr then her! did have a problem being spawnd in to a wall over and over again BUT i did make that stop happening by hiting the space bar just befor dieing

Raced against my boyfriend to see who could win faster. >:3 Lowkey got addicted and played for ages haha! Did have an issue where sometimes you'd spawn in a wall once dying, but besides that was a ton of fun!!! My best time was 1:51 on Plains!
