Good. The best I could do was quit the game, I suppose. The longer the conversation went on, the more I wanted to end it quickly. But in this kind of DDLC game, what I should have done was either repeatedly save and reload, or quit the game immediately to free this poor virtual heroine. My greed pushed me to play through to the ending, and now I'll never see him again.
Interesting enough, the original idea for one of the possible endings was simply choosing to quit and not continue. After all, that choice causes no direct harm, only solitude for Myr.
Though it does raise an interesting question: which is worse, a bond that harms or a loneliness that spares?
...Also, never say never.
Thank you for playing!
I admit I didn't finish it.. But for what it's worth I want to.
The facelessness mixed with the fake cloud did a nice job of making things just a tiny bit off.. Couldn't feel at ease even with the nice talk I had with them..
I like.
An interesting narrative that's really on a slowburn. It definitely had me on the hook. I did feel bad for Myr in the end.
It’s a game where you can have many conversations with Myrddin. At first, I thought nothing much would happen, but once Myrddin started to shock me, that’s when the game got strange and really intriguing. I was eager to see what would happen next.
The ending made me feel more sorrow for Myrddin than fear. At first, I thought maybe there should be typewriter sounds during dialogue, but then I realized that since Myrddin is a faceless character, not having them actually makes sense.
I also really liked the system where you can change the atmosphere’s voice. It truly fits Myrddin as someone who can do anything.
If it’s not too much trouble, please try my game too and leave a review. Thank you so much!
You’re really brining back the doki doki PTSD haha! Cool game! I like Myrddin, he’s like the therapist I never wanted. It was oddly comforting to talk to him and the scares were well timed!
However, I got a bug when I tried to continue with one of the options ;;_;;
Still! The ending was quite unsettling and it was a well-polished game! Great work <3
Thank you! DDLC was a major inspiration, and to this day it remains one of the most impressively creative games I played, especially if you’ve ever gone down the full rabbit hole of its hidden secrets.
Unfortunately, time was limited, so I could only include a few small meta secrets here and there. I had to settle for just a handful this time...
Thank you very much for the bug report as well! The issue has been fixed now. I apologize for the inconvenience, and I truly appreciate your feedback!
P.S. Myrddin likes you too.
I was enjoying the conversation. There's tons of content!
I was trying to reassure the poor guy, but it wasn't always easy. I was super freaked out when... freaky things started happening.
I do wish the option to add some background ambience had been raised a little earlier.
I got a crash after about 20 minutes:
Oh, shoot! It should be fixed now. Thanks for letting me know! As for the ambience, it starts fairly soon after the first small talk section, though you are right that I didn’t really consider players who might mainly focus on other activities first...
Otherwise, it’s always instantly available to choose whenever you raise a question.
I apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for playing!
I think I get what you were going for. As an Addie myself talking to real life people like this is painful even if they are more friendly than Myrddin. Unexpectedly much content too, like other posters have noticed. Good job!
I chose the Rhythm of the waves!
The objectively correct choice.
Reminds me of doki doki literature club. I think I exhausted the poor guy XD. I'll check up on him later. Any way great job!
There are al lot of dialogs. I spam the give me random fact and I only expected a couple. Good one.
Reminds me of a dating sim with lots of dialogue. Good job!
"What should I do when I'm sad?"
- just be happy bro
