Warm Winter Whites. . .

Hello my friends,

I can't believe that it has taken me so long after Christmas to get back to my blog!

I have missed blogging and visiting you!!!
So, I am very happy to be back!

Here in Utah we are getting the winter that we have needed for a long time.  Last year we had no snow to speak of, so I am not complaining!

How can you complain when it looks so pretty?
Snow really is quite magical!!

HALLELUIAH!

Chocolate Bunnies quilt is ready to take to the quilters!

I can hardly wait to see it completely finished! Quilting always adds so much and Becky does such a great job.

At times I never thought this day would come.

Thanks for all of your support. I couldn’t have done it without you! Also, a big hug and kiss for Amanda for letting me use her already prepped freezer templates for my last block and scalloped border. Saved me bunches of time!!!

All but the last block was done with the needle turn applique method. I sort of cheated and finished with the freezer paper method. Oh well, I’ll never tell if you won’t. Oops, I already did!

Hearts Desire

I finally have the pics of the quilt I’ve been working on to share with you.

DSCF0369

The name of this quilt is ‘Heart to Heart’ It is hand applique. This is the first quilt I’ve done using the freezer paper method.

It makes my Heart happy!

Here are some close ups of the blocks.

It will have a scalloped border. I got it back from the quilters on Thurs. I am almost through binding it. I will share the completed project with you on Valentines Day.

Remember, I will be giving away a ‘SPRING’ themed rolled wreath on Mon. If you have not became a follower and left a comment be sure and do so. That way your name will be entered into the drawing.

Today’s challenge: Get away, even if it’s just for a few hours; for some alone time with your Sweetheart.

Mantle of White

My mantle of White and Silver with a little touch of red and
green. I am loving the Mercury Glass!
My 'Winter Wonderland' quilt made from
the line of Moda fabric called Figgy Pudding.
Notice it has my new favorite combo-turquoise
and red. It also has 3 of those frosty guys that
have a special place in my heart.

I rotate quilts in this blue cupboard

Quilts, quilts, and more quilts. . . what can I say

I hate to admit, this is not all of my quilts. Many are stored away in a blue chest.
I have to warn you. This sickness is highly contagious.

My hubby went fly fishing this weekend so I was left to hold down the fort by my lonesome. I became a sewcial maniac! I sewed almost all day Fri. Took a little break and watched a girly movie then sewed till 1 in the morning. Saturday came and I still didn't have enough, sewed some more, watched Gone with the Wind then sewed till 12:30 this time. Figured I'd better get a little beauty sleep. Although I did manage to mow the lawn and visit the Star Mill (a fun antique shop) and a quilt store with Joyce . Guess what I bought? Bird fabric, I've had a bit of a bird fettish for the past 2 years. I figured I'd better have a bird quilt. I even sewed before church Sun. I already have so many quilts. Why oh why do they keep coming up with such cute new fabric and patterns? Oh well, my hubby says "You can never have enough quilts." I'm sure he meant that sarcastic. At least when the end is near, I might be hungry but I'll never be cold. If you'd like to join my club I'm calling it SEWcially unstable. Oh sew little time and oh sew many quilts.
