Snow Wonder for Colour Crazy Challenge for the 11th of October, 2019

At Colour Crazy Challenge for the 11th of October, we are sponsored by Createful Heart Designs and I chose their snowmen in the colouring page: Snow Wonder.

As I mentioned, the sponsor for this challenge is Createful Heart Designs.

Mary is based in Indiana and started drawing and creating handmade cards in the early 1980s. In 2002, she started looking at making digital images, alongside her artist husband, Mark and Createful Heart Designs was born.
There is a blog:
https://createfulheartcards.blogspot.com/
and a Facebook page:
Createful Heart Digis & Design

I have digitally printed the snowmen from Snow Wonder on to X-Press It Blending card and then cut using my paper cutter.
I have coloured them with the following Copics markers:
  • snowmen - C00, C0, C1, C2, R20, colourless blender
  • buttons - BG57
  • nose - YR07, YR09
  • reds - R22, R24, R27
  • greens - YG11, YG13, YG07
  • snow - C00, C0, C1, colourless blender, BV0000, Y00
  • sky - B32, B34, B37, B39
  • stars - Y38, white gel pen
The night sky is from a Sky Techniques class by the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder.
I have adhered the coloured image to a square white card from Envelope Solutions and stamped the sentiments from Toboggan Together by Lawn Fawn in Nautical Blue Memento ink and the snowflakes on the side also from Toboggan Together by Lawn Fawn in Summer Sky Memento ink.

Here is a close-up of the colouring:

Knitty Kitty Digis for Colour Crazy Challenge for the 19th of July, 2019

At Colour Crazy Challenge we are being sponsored by Knitty Kitty Digis and the image I chose was Did someone say cream cake? A very cute image of three kitties lined up, peaking around a corner. It made me think of "Welcome Home", as that is what our two kitties do when we come home - they appear from around the corner, or they are already waiting at the door!

So I have made a Welcome Home card!

I have digitally printed the three cute kitties on to X-Press It Blending card and then because my Silhouette Cameo is not hooked up to my computer at the moment, I have just cut out the image with my paper cutter. Although I had to trim it with my fussy cutting scissors.
I have used the following Copics markers to colour the image:
  • tabby kitty at the top - E41, E43, E44, E47, R11, R20, colourless blender for texture
  • tortoiseshell kitty in the middle - E31, E35, E37, W1, W3, W5, W7, R11, R20
  • lilac/grey kitty at the bottom with the fish - BV000, BV20, BV00, W3, W5
  • fish - Y21, YR04, YR09
  • door on right - B12, B14, B16
  • wall on left - BG000, BG01, BG02, colourless blender for texture
  • outline - B16
The colours and techniques for colouring the kitties came from the All About Animals Class by the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder. For the tabby kitty, I used some colourless blender with a piece of terry cloth to have a different texture, then finished with some more strokes of colour.
I also added a blue sequin with Cosmic Stickles to act as a door knob to the image.

I have gone pretty simple with the design of the card. I used two sentiments, one from Vibrant Thanks by Power Poppy, which I stamped with Nautical Blue Memento ink using my MISTI on to the Kraft card from Envelope Solutions. Then a second sentiment - Welcome from the April 2015 Club La-La Land Crafts kit, which I also stamped in Nautical Blue Memento ink, but on to some water colour paper that I brushed with tumbled glass Distress Ink and then cut with some fancy scalloped scissors to fit a kraft banner that I die cut from a new banner die cut from Close to My Heart which is included in the new Share the Joy Stamps + Thin Cuts. I outlined the kraft banner with Nautical Blue Memento ink.

Here is a close-up of the colouring:

Not Just Cards September 2018 Challenge

Not Just Cards is having a new challenge starting today the 11th of September!
The theme for the September 2018 Challenge is "Anything Goes".
To join in the fun, click on the following link:

I finished colouring this image a while ago for my son Christofer to put on his door as he loves Firemen and Fire Engines - typical little boy!
I just need to frame it and write his name.
I am also colouring an image of a ballerina for my daughter Abigayle, as she loves dancing.

Both of these images are part of the monthly classes from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder.

The firemen is from La-La Land Crafts - Fireman Luka.

Here are a few progression shots:

Not Just Cards August 2018 Challenge

Not Just Cards is having a new challenge starting today the 12th of August!
The theme for the August 2018 Challenge is "Anything Goes".
To join in the fun, click on the following link:

I finished colouring these images with Copics a while ago and tucked them away to put them in a photo frame to give to someone special - but I tucked them away so well, that I couldn't find them! But finally I have and I had already bought the photo frame from IKEA, so here is a present to someone special, who just had her birthday.

There is a bit of reflection, but hopefully the close-ups will help.

The three images are from Power Poppy and the colourings are all monthly classes from the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder.

On the left is the September 2017 Markers class and the stamp is Tulips in Hobnail Pitcher.

I love how the pitcher turned out in this one!

In the centre is the February 2017 Markers class and the stamp is Camellias.

The nearly white camellia and the paler pink one, I thought turned out well!

Then finally on the right is the February 2018 Markers class and the stamp is one of my favourites - Hellebores.
I totally love the sentiment that comes with this stamp -
"The inspiration you seek is already within you. Be silent and listen." by Rumi.

I love how the water and stem in the glass turned out - first time I have coloured water and stems in a glass!

I would like to enter this into a few challenges:
Love to Craft Challenge #25 - August Anything Goes
The Flower Challenge #23 - One Layer Cards - I have three!

So I thought that I would move away from the Christmas cards a bit and start to show some of the other stuff that I have been working on!

I have been a Clowdie for a while now and part of being a Clowdie is sharing progress shots - as it is best to try and colour at least 10 minutes a day and keep practicing!!! :)

So I am sharing with you the progress shots and final coloured image of one of the monthly colouring classes that the wonderful Alyce at Kit and Clowder puts together and teaches through hours of videos and pages of workbooks. Following on with Alyce is definitely worth all the time - I have learnt so many techniques, especially for Copics markers.

So without further ado......here is the first shot, showing just the moon coloured:

Here is the second shot, showing the clothes coloured:

Here is the third shot, showing everything but the background coloured:

Finally, here is the final piece:

This is the May 2018 Markers Class and the stamp is Fairyland by Molly Harrison. There are a few other similar classes and I was thinking of putting them together in some frames to give away as gifts - or my daughter will try and 'steal' it for her room!

I would like to enter this into a few challenges:
Colour Crazy Challenge - Week 27 - Anything Goes Colouring
Crafty Friends Challenge #87 - Fairy and/or Fantasy
Love to Craft Challenge #24 - July Anything Goes
