Add a Ribbon for Let's Craft and Create Challenge #208 for the 5th of June, 2024

For this month's challenge at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog, we have the optional theme of

Add a Ribbon

I again decided to do something quick and easy using La-La Land Crafts products, as I have been working quite a bit (end of FY here)!

So, here is my tag with a ribbon:

I stamped the standing flamingo from the not even released Flamazing Clear Stamp Set (it is part of the Flamingo Virtual Card Classin Tuxedo Black ink on to X-Press It Blending Card. I then coloured it following Irina's video in the class, using the following Copics inks:
  • Flamingo - C9, 100, BG23, RV02, R20, R21, R22, R24, R46, YR16,YR23, white gel pen
I fussy cut the flamingo, including between the legs (I used a craft knife)!

I have then die cut the largest of the Large Stitched Tags Die from La-La Land Crafts in white card stock twice and adhered them together. I also die cut one of the reinforcing pieces. I then inked up the Rise and Shine Background Stamp with Picked Raspberry and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink and stamped the background on to the Large Stitched Tag and reinforcing piece.
I attached the reinforcing piece with Art Glitter Glue and set them aside to dry.
Then I die cut two sets of leaves in green card stock from the Tropical Leaves Die.
I adhered three of the leaves with Art Glitter Glue to the tag and then attached the flamingo on top with foam tape.
I have die cut the Scalloped Sentiment Labels Die from white card stock and then stamped the sentiment using Nautical Blue Memento ink and my MISTI. Then I adhered the label with Art Glitter glue on to the tag.

Here is the tag after it had been stamped:

Here is a close up of the flamingo:

I would like to enter this card into a few challenges:

Tag! You're It for Let's Craft and Create Challenge #183 on the 5th of May, 2022

I am late for this month's challenge as I have been travelling for work all week and was very tired when I finally arrived home and not enough focus to sit in front of my computer to finish this post. So it is now the 7th of May, which is my little boy's 13th birthday! Thankfully I was organised enough to send the photos to Sherry and I was going to finish the post when I was away, but too much work!

Anyway.....for this month's challenge at Let's Craft and Create Challenge Blog we have the optional theme of

TAG! You're It
(Use a tag)

I have been wanting to use Gamer Luka from La-La Land Crafts since he was released in February as he is just like my little boy and I wanted to make a gift card tag using dies from La-La Land Crafts.

So this is what I made:

Here is another photo with the tag leaning against something in my Shotbox:

I also took a photo with the tag laying flat and taking the photo from the bottom, then you can see all the sentiment:

The image Gamer Luka was stamped on to X-Press It Blending card using my MISTI and Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then coloured with the following Copics markers:
  • skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20, 100, white gel pen
  • hair - E23, E25, E27, YR24
  • green hat - G02, G05, G17, colourless blender on a piece of nappy to give it a textured look
  • yellow t-shirt - Y11, Y13, Y15, Y17, white gel pen
  • blue pants - B93, B95, B97, B99
  • shoes - C1, C3, C5, R24, R46, R89
  • controller - C3, C5, R46
Here are some close up photos of Luka:

To make the tag I have used a few dies from La-La Land Crafts. I have die cut twice from white cardstock the largest tag of the Large Stitched Tags using my new Big Shot Machine, then I adhered the two tags together back to back.

From one of the papers from the Note to Self Paper Pack I die cut the Right Pocket and the insert. I have adhered them together and then attached to the front of the tag using a gift card to ensure that there is enough room.

I have stamped on to the bottom of the tag the sentiment from Gamer Luka using my MISTI and Nautical Blue Memento ink - I love the font that Irina has used!

I fussy cut Luka and then adhered him using a few glue dots on to the right side of the pocket

As usual, I have taken inspiration from the awesome Irina and the La-La Land Crafts Design Team and the wonderful Monthly Classes and Bonus Classes from the awesome Alyce at Kit and Clowder.

Christofer, the birthday boy has been eyeing off the tag - so I need to find a gift card to place in there that actually has some money on it!

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

Power Poppy Rewind Challenge

I have been really getting into Power Poppy stamps! They suit me to a T - beautiful flowers, beautiful script writing for the sentiments and some gorgeous Christmas stamps. Also they come in digital, as well as clear stamps. I now have started a collection of both, I even suggested that I receive a gift certificate for Christmas! :)

So on to the latest challenge that I have joined. Power Poppy are running their Rewind challenge this month, which means that we pick one of the 10 challenges from this year. I chose Gifts from the Heart, as I had coloured this beautiful Glittering Glass Santa before Christmas and I was trying to think of a way to use him. I finally received some Power Poppy clear stamps that I ordered. I was hoping that I would see them before Christmas, but it was not to be - I'll remember to order a lot earlier in the year next year! Regardless, the customer support by Marcella was fantastic! Anyway, there is a sentiment that went well with my colouring and the little gift card that I wanted to use.

Here is my gift card:

The Glittering Glass Santa is printed on X-Press It card then coloured with the following Copics:
Red of Santa's coat and berries - R32, R35, R37
Green of tree and gloves - G02, G05, G07
Green of plant - YG63, YG67
Face of Santa - E000, E00, R20
Top of Santa (hanging part) - Y28
Background - B000
White fur of coat - clear Wink of Stella

The Merry Christmas stamp is a sentiment from the Poinsettia Stamp Set that I notice is still on sale!
I stamped the Merry Christmas in Vintage Sepia Versafine Ink.
The kraft card is from Envelope Solutions. Glittering Glass Santa is attached to the card with foam dots.

I hope to be posting a lot more in the coming year - I am going to work on my shop and I also made a commitment to myself to sit down and make more cards! Also I have a lot of new stamps and things to play with!!
