Late to this Dances / Curses party, but holy hell what a party. This album is phenomenal and compositionally, one the best albums I’ve heard in years. It’s a difficult thing to pull off the scope of something like this clearly drawing from so many influences, yet sitting entirely on their own and never losing steam. This is Hey Colossus, and motherfucker it’s good.

this is a living beast of a record, you can hear it heaving in feedback breaths in settlement and panting them out in old smoke, a feverish continuum of a record, each song an iteration of the last, I listen and I can't remember which song did what, cos they were all hauling for some golden horizon.
